Past Master Julius Minnifield

Brethren our beloved Brother, Past Master Julius Minnifield has been
called to his reward in the bosom of the Supreme architect of the Universe.
Death is a solemn visitor, and fills our hearts with sadness.  Although we
know that he is a messenger from God to summon our loved ones from the
troubled cares of this world to a life of peace and rest; yet it is a
unwelcome visitor for he brings with him the sorrow of loss.  Brethren we
must remember to celebrate the opportunity we were given to have had such a
Brother and to rejoice in his future life.

Brother Minnifield's passing is a great loss to his family and friends
as well as to Gate City Lodge No. 42.  His contributions to Masonry since
his entrance into the craft in 1959 and his serving as Gate City's Master in
1965 and 1966 will be with us always.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
