Greetings, and welcome to the Gate City Lodge No. 42 website.
I extend my sincere appreciation for your visit and, with humility, offer my heartfelt thanks to the brethren for entrusting me with the honor of serving as Worshipful Master of this historic lodge. I do not take this responsibility lightly. I stand on the shoulders of those who labored before me, and it is now my duty to continue that work while thoughtfully guiding our lodge forward in an ever-changing world.
As we move further into an age shaped by technology and innovation, we remain grounded in the timeless principles of Freemasonry. We honor our past, respect our traditions, and at the same time embrace what lies ahead, ensuring that our craft remains meaningful, accessible, and strong for future generations.
Our theme for this year, “From Whence We Came,” invites deep reflection. It calls each of us to consider our origins, our purpose, and our individual Masonic journey from darkness, or ignorance, toward light, understood as knowledge, wisdom, and the grace of God. This theme challenges us to remember who we are, why we labor, and how our growth as men and Masons strengthens the lodge as a whole.
Gate City Lodge No. 42 is committed to unity, personal development, and collective progress. By supporting one another and remaining faithful to our principles, we ensure that our lodge continues to be a source of guidance, fellowship, and service in the community.
